Why did I join the company?

I was initially attracted to this company because of the words in the job description, “good with your hands”. I have always loved machines and was interested in things that turn and move, such as engines, bicycles, and tools. My previous job was at a bakery, and I decided to jump into the world of manufacturing to a job where I could put my dexterity to good use.

A reckless attitude that changed the course of my future

After joining the company, I was first assigned to the plating factory. At that time, the plating factory was still in operation, and that was where my career began. The former Company President told me to try my hand at assembling machines just three days after I started working at the company. Looking back, it seemed reckless to assign someone who had just begun working here three days ago to perform that work and now feel grateful because I feel that I was able to acquire a variety of skills from that experience.

Currently, I am involved in product manufacturing, as well as a wide range of areas, from machine design to production management. What I find particularly rewarding is the process of creating materials from scratch. When making a new product, I think about how it will be rolled, how to customize the necessary machinery, and how to give it shape through trial and error. It is very interesting and fulfilling to be involved throughout the entire process. To think how differently my career would’ve been, had I not been assigned to assemble machines three days after starting.

Designing factory layouts from scratch

Over the past 25 years, I have been involved in every process of manufacturing, from plating, heat treatment, rolling, and processing of deformed/irregular shaped wires. With this experience I was given the opportunity to be the lead in designing the current factory layout, I wanted to create a better working environment for the team. With an eye on improving efficiency in the future, I expressed my opinions about what I wanted to do and consulted with the Company President and contractors as we proceeded. I feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction now whenever I look at the machines and the way they are lined up, I think to myself, “This was my idea, I came up with this.”

Looking forward to the “next challenge”

This company has allowed me to experience many different things. For that I am grateful, it has allowed me to understand the complexities and processes of manufacturing, from machine design to production management. I would like to continue to contribute to the company’s future by developing my skills and the equipment, while expanding the endless possibilities of our company. I would like to pass on the joy of manufacturing to our younger employees, while giving them a variety of experiences that will help them grow and hone their skills.
I will continue to work hard to produce better products while continuously improving my skills.
